I discovered my passion for martial arts at a young age when I was bullied as a child. My parents enrolled me in Kung Fu at age seven to help with the bullying problem. Through martial arts, I learned valuable lessons of virtue, nobility, and courage, and gained a deeper understanding of my physical and mental strengths and weaknesses. I transitioned to Jiu Jitsu, dedicating seven years to training and competing with full-time hours. I had to gain a lot of mental and emotional strength despite many moments of doubt and fear. I persisted and earned my black belt after eight solid years of training with the same school and professor since day one. My experiences have given me a unique perspective on martial arts, and I bring that understanding and compassion to my students. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to pass on my knowledge gained over a decade to others.

YOGA & MEDITATION TEACHER | REIKI MASTER
I faced numerous emotional challenges from a young age, including my parents' divorce, depression, bullying, low self-confidence and worth, and a rough relationship. Additionally, debilitating illnesses lasting over a decade forced me to give up my original passion of competitive dance. However, meeting Estefan ignited a light within me that had been dormant for so long. I committed to building mental, emotional, and physical strength, which led me to discover a new passion for yoga and Reiki healing. These years of healing and growth have given me the ability to bring compassion and understanding to every class and to offer specific support to those who are injured or dealing with illness. Through yoga, I discovered that it offers much more than just physical benefits; it provides a path to opening up and finding oneself. I am dedicated to creating a welcoming, nurturing, positive, and peaceful environment for every student. I am grateful for my experiences, as they have provided me with valuable lessons and knowledge to share with others
THE STASIS NAME
STASIS (n) : to be in a state of equilibrium or balance

We chose this name after a lot of contemplation. The most obvious reason is because we believe this lifestyle can bring you a great deal of balance in every aspect; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It also helps to provide you a well rounded life outside of the academy through it's teachings of discipline, respect and honor, teamwork, strengthening one's body and mind as well as bringing you a sense of community and family.

Stasis also means a state of inactivity. Being inactive for short periods of time, does not mean you are unbalanced. We feel that there is a place for times of inactivity. We show this through our teachings of the importance of rest, recovery and contentment.
